Project Team
The interventions of the WAIPRO project will be implemented through a consortium of research, professional and implementation institutions under the support of the Comité Inter-Etats de Lutte contre la Sécheresse au Sahel (CILSS) and the lead of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). The project is funded by USAID.

The project is also involving National Agricultural Research and Extension Systems (INERA in Burkina Faso and INRAN in Niger), irrigation management institutions (DADI in Burkina Faso, DGGR and ONAHA in Niger), and professional irrigation associations (CNID B in Burkina and ANID in Niger). Finally regional organizations (ROPPA and ARID and ECOWAS water unit) will help in the dissemination phase.
